Be careful to read the dates of the reviews. The good ones are for the previous owner, Dr. Mac. He truly cared about animals. The new owner seems to have vast experience with farm animals, not pets. The level of care and knowledge do not match what we received from Dr. Mac. Our pup was repeatedly misdiagnosed. While profits are important, they should not be first on the list when dealing with living creatures. Sick pet? They tell you to go to Ocean State emergency. They pack the appointments so tight they don't leave room for sick visits.

Our angel pup Brody was absolutely adored by all of the staff at Mercy for just over 15 years. We eternally thank everyone there who treated or supported Brody in some way and for everything they have done for our family throughout his life. He loved you all and will certainly miss his sniffs out on the lawn before coming in for his appointments. A simple thank you doesn't seem like a strong enough statement for how much you did for us

I have been going to Mercy for over 20 years, I’ve recommend family and friends, because Dr. McMillian was simply the best, really cared for our animals. I’m sorry to say but the place has not lived up to Dr. Mac’s standards, they don’t answer the phone and no one calls you back after multiple messages. My dog needed to be seen, I tried desperately to get him in, after calling a few times and leaving messages, I finally got someone to pick up and was told they’re booked well over a month and I could go to the Er for treatment!! I am blown away that they don't have availability for pets when they're sick!! I never had that problem with Dr. Mac!! I took my dog to the Er probably not an emergency but my own vet couldn’t see their patient for a sick visit for well over a month is disheartening. I was able to get an appointment with a new Vet for a re- check on Nov 8th, they called me this morning, to confirm and go over some details about my dog, she then said let's get him in earlier for a re-check!!! My BRAND NEW VET got me in this week!!!
